Texchem’s Family Care Division manufactures an extensive range of household products, including mosquito coils, mosquito mats, insecticidal aerosols, liquid and mat vaporisers, rodenticides and air fresheners. Our products are distributed to millions of households throughout ASEAN and around the world.

By 2010, we aim to be the number one household insecticide company in Asia. We invest heavily in research, development and engineering, placing great emphasis on product innovation. We have a highly sophisticated Entomology Research Centre (ERC) - the only one of its kind in Southeast Asia. The ERC verifies product performance through biological efficacy tests using various strains of mosquitoes, flies, cockroaches and insects. Meanwhile, our state-of-the-art R&D Centre researches the active ingredients in insecticide products; tests product formulation, develops new products, improves manufacturing methods, packaging designs, optimises cost and explores new supply sources.

We have manufacturing facilities in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar, and a strong presence in Cambodia and Laos. By 2010, we intend to be a recognised centre of manufacturing excellence based on continuous improvement and best practices. Equally important, our distribution network is
highly efficient.

To keep our prices competitive, we operate stringent cost controls. This includes both automation and the sourcing of raw materials from around the ASEAN region.

We believe that, in addition to product quality, distribution and pricing, brand awareness is paramount. Aggressive marketing campaigns have made our products the leaders in most of our markets, and we are rapidly achieving widespread awareness in other new areas.
