Texchem's Family Care Division manufactures an extensive range of household insecticide products including mosquito coils, mosquito mats, insecticidal aerosols, liquid and mat vaporisers, rodenticides and air fresheners. Our products are also distributed to millions of households locally and around the world.

Our investment in continuous product innovation, driven by cutting edge R&D has kept the Division;s products ahead of market trends. With Fumakilla's Entomology Research Centre (ERC) the Division is the only Asian household insecticide expert (outside of Japan) to invest extensively in R&D.

Fumakilla ERC, is the first and one of the most advanced in SE Asia. It verifies product performance through biological efficacy testing, using various strains of insects that include mosquitoes, flies, cockroaches, ants, etc. It also collaborates with independent organisations such as the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) to conduct programmes which include screening research to identify the resistance level of mosquitoes to insecticides.

The Fumakilla R&D centre, focuses its attention on researching active ingredients in insecticides. This includes developing and testing new product formulations to enhance the quality and to expand our existing product lines. Besides that, the team is also committed to improving manufacturing processes to ensure enhanced speed, productivity and product consistency.

From our headquarters in Malaysia, we have steadily expanded our manufacturing presence throughout SE Asia to include manufacturing facilities in Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar and Indonesia. From these facilities, we produce a wide range of household insecticides which are stringently tested and proven to be highly effective against insects and pests, while being safe for humans and the environment.

Fumakilla Malaysia is the 1st household insecticide manufacturer to attain SIRIM product certification standard and was awarded the ISO certification for quality manufacturing practices. Fumakilla Malaysia also has a comprehensive Environmental System in place which allows us to manage resources wisely and to safeguard the health and safety of our employees, the community and the environment.

The Division has leveraged on its extensive testing experience by establishing Acumen Scientific Sdn Bhd a one stop analysis solution provider which provides an extensive range of analytical testing and consultancy services in the field of environment, chemistry, microbiology and etc.

Our laboratory has received MS ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation from the Department of Standards Malaysia, (SAMM) and has also been approved by the Food Safety and Quality Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia to perform tests for Health Certificate applications.
